Amy,

I am very excited that you are getting chickens. I am considering getting some in the spring. I just have figure out a way to make it work with two labradors whose main desire in life is to catch, incapacitate and deliver small fowl. There are very few things that taste as good as fresh eggs from happy, well fed chickens so I would really like to find a way.

I wanted to pass along the end of my reading form this morning (hebrews) and I don't have your email, Gen does, so I thought I would get it to you this way.

32Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you stood your ground in a great contest in the face of suffering. 33Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. 34You sympathized with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions.

35So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. 36You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. 37For in just a very little while,
"He who is coming will come and will not delay.
38But my righteous one[f] will live by faith.
And if he shrinks back,
I will not be pleased with him."[g] 39But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved.

I found it to be a good summary and reminder in light of current events.

In His Peace and with His Love,

Aaron

Thank you, Aaron! (big hug inserted here). It is exactly what I needed to hear today. I wish I could actually hear your deep, warm voice reading this portion of the Word, Aaron. How many times did we open His word together over the Minnesota months! There is pure joy in knowing that it is Jesus who holds us fast, that you are in Him and He in you. We love you and pray for you continually.

Oh and about the chickens! The lady we got our chickens from has six dogs (at least one a lab) and her chickens have all been "free ranged" on her property. She says she worked hard to train her dogs at leaving them alone and says she no longer has any problems! We have been watching Gypsy, our border collie, closely and so far she just seems to want to herd them! It is pretty funny!

On to you, dear Genevieve! Yes, you have a fantastic husband! I'll try not to take any credit for the match, but forgive me if I just can't help myself! Teehee! :)

Love you both tons!

Amy
